When we were young, when his son casey was a litle kid, we lived in the same neighborhood in Queens with Shelly and Bitsy. We were good friends for years till they moved west. I rode in Shelleys Model A, sometimes to monticello, NY for a saturday night gig. Shelly was a very funny guy. I was TD on Sid Ceasars invites you, the forgotten Caesar show on ABC and Shelly was a writer along with all the other Giants who worked with Caesar. Only thirteen weeks but many memories. I haven't seen Shelley for forty years but always thought of him and quoted him. Last time we met he came to visit me when I was roducer of Candid Camera in the sixties. We had a sandwich and traded memories. God bless Shelly and may he rest in peace. And my condolences to his family. God Bless you all
