Sex with a prostitute is consensual rape. It's as simple as that. I can't think of anything less appealing than that!

consensual rape???? both parties CONSENT to the act, one gets paid for services rendered. Where is the rape in that?
I drive by the homeless sleeping in the cold, dark street, like bodies in an open grave. Underneath the broken old neon sign that used to read "Jesus Saves." It just makes me wonder, why so many lose and so few win.

If the prostitute's happy, and the customer's happy, seems like a prefectly honest transaction to me. After all, why be so judgemental of other people's life choices?

In my opinion, prostitution should be legal and taxed.

To the OP, I don't see anything wrong with this. Your wife shouldn't either, if she has no sex drive, and you do, then she should be happy you are willing to find a way to make the marriage work.

If you live in or near an area where prostitution is a legal regulated industry then paying for a prostitute may be a safer choice than accepting casual sex from someone. In some cities, brothels are required to certify their employees' health.

As for whether it is right or wrong, most people allow their emotions to make their decision for them. No one can make an emotional decision for you except yourself. On the other hand, if you do not wish to be ruled by your emotions then use reasoning and determine which choice is best for you.

Rape cannot be consensual; the lack of consent is its defining feature. You may have strong feelings on the subject, which is fair enough; I imagine you consider prostitution to be a mis-use of an aspect of human being, it's just a shame that you mis-used another such aspect in so doing.
