Riz is not overreacting and TBH, I have been very surprised at some of the responses on this board. Some good points, but most people seem to be very naive as to the racism in this country and it is not calling "the race card", it is unfortunately, something black people live with everyday. If you dont experience this on a daily basis then "Out of sight, out of mind" springs to mind.

None of the black people on this forum seem to be getting through to the white people on this board and they are all conveying the same message, over and over again, in different styles. Over and over again people on here are being very dismissive, it actually hurts. We are not trying to patronise you, we are trying to get you, to help us, so we in turn can help you.

I'm not denying that racism is rife - both here, and in the real world, but like it or not, the card is sometimes unnecessarily played.

At the risk of sounding tedious in bringing up an old example, during a debate with RR, I found her comments to be a little hypocritical, so referred to the matter as a "pot and kettle" situation. At the time, her colour hadn't even entered my head, but I was automatically accused of being a racist.

I'm sure that Rex does have genuine reason to defend herself against some prejudice here, but unfortunately, when you're so fickle in making accusations regardless of them being founded, people aren't so willing to listen when you have a definite cause of concern.

I have had a few run ins with Peopele who are not white and i do not tar you all with the same brush.

I would give you examples but what has happend to me is far to personal to discuss here..

But they where involved with back men and women.. And I was targeted becuase I was white.

It pisses me off all this S***, Cause I go carnival every year .. Ive seen sanchez In 04 and 05 unfortunatley he didnt play this year, and I was the only white female there and it has to be one of the best nights of my life..

In regard to the race card I meant some people do, ( not all) but some do..

I have seen this happen which is a pain in the arse.. I.e

Went out to pub and got into a fight with a Black girl, Apparently I was looking at her funny, whe the police arrived on the scene she told them I started and called her a dirty black N****. If it wasnt for the fact the landlord ( who is black ) come out and put them right I would have been in a lot of trouble.

I'd probably agree with most all what your sister says . Good to know how others see things and you do come out being smarter . My 2cents worth in the recent fight with who Swee called the "despicable creature " was motivated by loyalty to several black people who have been very good to me in my life .Do think the problem for most is the way it's being said . Your sister is very smart and sounds special but as you know is a feisty one & can get to confrontational and sounding hostile . It undercuts what she's saying and gives ammunition to her enemys . No offense maybe you didn't intend it that way but your post reeks of eliteism and patronizing . I won't listen to that and don't think many will. Who likes being talked down too ?

My own advice is just talk and exchange ideas while ignoring the yahoos who want trouble . Have had some scumbags use anti-Americanism against me here and after making my point ignored them and there hate mongering fell on it's face . There are plenty of people here who will listen and learn . In the past this site has had people including black members who presented there ideas like they were talking to you ( not hollaring or lecturing you ) and were very popular . Everyone came away the better.

I just really got arrested people!
A black guy on a bus going past pulled out a knife on another black guy...his mates and the other guys mates started fighting..the police arrive, they arrest the bad guy with the knife which was fine...about 5 police cars are here by now... so a big white van full of police turns up and jumps on the guy that did nothing at all and start grappling with him on the floor, he is fighting back cos he has done nothing wrong
Anyway EVERY black person is the area is out now shouting at the police...I was shouting too and we all start pushing towards the police..the start pushing back...more police turn up. There is about a crowd of 300 people now, NO LIE!!!! racial tension is rife and we are told we will all be arrested...my brother grabs me and now I am back at my desk... fkkin fuming...police are racist man. They was all white guys too....Im fukkin mad!

What is it with ppl... Is it a cultural thing or what? It's almost as if a "person of colur" has to act a certain way before they're accepted... If Rizz gets passionate about certain topics, more power to her. When she feels she's gone OTT she's the 1st to apologise which is more than I can say for some ppl..

Why should race even be an issue on the Internet? Unless someone chooses to inform us of their colour, then you're not going to know if they're white, black, or sky-blue-pink. I actually find it interesting how it's only the posters of colour who choose to inform us of their skin tone - you don't get a white person feeling the need to tell us the same thing.

What REALLY pisses me off though is how the black community is supposed to be offended by lack of political correctness, yet they deliberately segregate themselves. In school, we can't have blackboards, and Noddy books can no longer contain Golly-Wogs, yet it's ok for the music industry to create a "Music of BLACK origin" awards, that excludes all artists with white skin. What's that all about? If we made an exclusive club like that, you can guarantee the PC nuts would be all over us like flies on cr*p.

How on earth was my tone rude? I went out of my way to be polite to you - even ensuring that I didn't use the term "coloured", after you said you found it offensive.
