Hi. I'm a male 21 yr old. I've been able to feel, see, and/or hear" people or things, since as long as I could remember. They will either be there for a split second or they will be there for a while and I'll look at them while they either move around or stand there. They have been scary and they have also been comforting. I'll see somethng move either out of the corner of my eye, or I will be doing some thing and have something in a spot I have it in so i can get to it easily and it will move to another spot. usually this confuses me but then I relize what it is. I've had my own trickster ghost following me around since I was about 8. My parents got divorced when i was 6, and we got back from Japan when I was 3. He plays tricks with me and I see him when I sleep. Another thing is, I get Deja-Vu every now and then. For those that don't know what that is, in the term that I'm using it means I have seen the exact same things else where. When I was in 5th grade I had a dream about a girl up on stage and it lloked like an old saloon. She was dressed in a red skirt and doing the Can-Can. When I awoke I still remembered it and blew it off. I went to school that day and we had a suprise play being put on in the cafeteria (where our stage was) and toward the end of the play, I saw eactly what I saw on stage, for the second time. I've had this ability since I was really young. My mom asked me if I remembered Japan and I described to her the entire layout of our house there and where a everything was that was in the house. My brother told me to start writing down dreams that I remember, and write down when I get Deja-Vu, but I never could remember things for a long time. I can for a short time, and a real long time, but the middle distance evades me.

I also wake up sometimes to find an ice filled glass of water next to me after I have been asleep for 10 hours. A fresh glass with no moisture on the side, I will wake up and doors will be open that werent open, or things will be moved around, like furniture. I know I sleep walk to the extreme and don't remember anything about it when I wake up but it's kind of annoying to wake up and jump out of bed and hurt your leg on something that wasen't there before.

Anyways, anyone else in the same boat? I know that 18 yr old asked, and yes, I do "see" things. Actually there are a few standing behind me now, I don't want to turn around cause they don't seem to friendly and they came up when I started reading these comments about other people seeing "ghosts". Time for cartoons.

I think my house (or maybe my 18 month old daughter) is haunted...
We moved into this house 2 months ago and my daughter can no
longer sleep through the night. After much thought and a visit
to the doctor it finally ocurred to me that maybe it isnt
physical...
i grew up with at least one ghost in my home and my entire family
(the female side) is extremely perceptive when it comes
to "strange phenomena". I learned shortly after moving in that a
child was murdered next door (i don't know whether it was
purposely or not). My daughter wakes up SCREAMING in the middle
of the night ( always around 1 or 2 am) like she is terrified and
I have thought of many other things that she does that make so much more sense after the thought of a ghost being present.
Do you have any information that could help me deal with this situation??
It would be greatly appreciated!!

i can say that i know how you feel to a certain extent...I still have deja vu frequently, but sleepwalk very little if at all as an adult.
I would really like to speak to you if you are interested, i am having issues with my daughter possibly seeing ghosts that I cannot see (see the last post on this board)
Maybe you can help me

Girl next door

not dead but i still saw him????

Postby Girl next door on Sat Apr 16, 2005 2:15 pm

Hi, im a young teen girl and i was searching the net for people who see dead people when i came across this site.
When i was 4 i was admitted to hospital for a breathing problem and i was put in a hospital bed for about 2hrs.
When i was about to go home, i boy about my age walked up to my bed and said "hi why are you here?"
and i replied to him, i don't remember exactly what i said but some thing by the lines of "im sick"
and then he asked what my name was i told him and then he told me his name.
Sadly i forgot what it was but, i do remember that i laughed because he had a girly name and we talked about that. then after our short conversation he said that he had to go and he looked deep into my eyes and walked off.
Recently i was talking to my parents about the time i was in hospital and they said i couldn't stop talking about a boy that was talking to me, and that the nurse looking after the girl next to me told my parents that i was talking to myself.

A boy my age moved in to the house next door to mine recently and he looks very similar to the boy i saw, tanned, deep brown eyes and sandy brown/blonde hair. He even has the same features. In fact when i went to his house i saw a photo of a young boy that looked extremely similar to the boy i saw, so im very certain that when i was 4yrs old i saw him, but no one else did.
What makes my story even more shoking is that my niehbors name is shannon, a girly name (when people read his name they expect to see a girl) .im very shocked because i think that i might have had a phycic connection with my niehbor.
Oh, yea one more thing, before i knew that my niehbor moved in to the house next to mine i was thining about that boy i saw in the hospital, that wasn't really there.

scary eh???

connection with niehbor

Postby girl next door on Sat Apr 16, 2005 2:22 pm

i forgot to say that my niehbor and i both talk in our sleep.
and we occasionaly sleep walk aswell.
We both have the same brain skills aswell, we both got the same math test result and we both came within the top 20 in our age group in the cross country and we both suck at the same subjects.
And both our birthdays are the same number repeated, is this all an ENORMOUS coincidence or is it deeper than that?????

i would love to see what you think, please reply!!!!

Ghosts

My youngest child (now 19) has always seen "others" as we call them. It is very disturbing to her, but she has managed to live her life and ignore them as much as possible. She doesn't want to have any "interaction" with them and often they do not realize she sees them.

Most of the others she has interacted with have been benevolent...a few have frightened her.

She has always thought that some come in with items I get at estate sales. I have actually given away items that seemed to hold "bad memories."

While I have been advised by some to watch her for mental illness, I am convinced that this sensitive child just has another sense, a gift. She doesn't want to use it and that is her choice. We talk about it only now and again as it is very disturbing to her still.

I'm a child psychologist and I find all this interesting. Children have imaginary friends - not ghosts, imaginary friends. They pick up a lot more than you think, just from overhearing other people's conversations or TV. It's very normal for them to have night terrors and wake up screaming.

Children can't always tell the difference between imagination and the real world. They may see a woman one day and remember her later that night (ie see her in their mind's eye!). They won't be able to tell that they're just remembering her and may think she's really there, leading their parents to think they're seeing ghosts.

I do believe in ghosts and some of the stories here (such as the girl who was outside drinking lemonade with her grandfather) are interesting indeed! The massive majority of them however are just normal childhood behaviours(for instance the person who's niece I think it was said they saw grandpa next to grandma or waking in the middle of the night screaming).

i copied this froma post i put up here about ghoshs........better than writing the whole damn thing all over again! :D :D

i have always had a "feeling" of not being alone. i've seen a few, they were in my last apartmant. one time i saw a dark shadow like figure walk thru my kitchen and the other time, it was in the middle of the night and me and my wife watched a black orb float down the hall past the door to our bedroom...shortly followed by a white orb.
also, i belive my son can see and talk to them. he's always talking to people who aren't there. i used to just think that he had a good imagination untill one day he came and told me that "Popo" had told him to tell me that he said hi.
now let me explain who Popo is really quick...he was my grandfather, he passed away about 3 years before my son was ever thought of. my grandmother, Grammy, Passed about a year after that, so he never knew them. i didn't have any pictures displayed of them and i never spoke of them.
now i always listen to what hes saying when hes by his self, never know who hes gonna be talking to.

my mom also says that shes seen ghosts. she hears voices call her name. but then again she did do some pretty good drugs when she was younger

I have an unusually long memory and can recall very early childhood. I used to hallucinate when I was tiny: I saw illuminated, translucent green faces hovering outside my bedroom window in the dark, and I used to chat to them even though they looked a bit freaky and scary. I no longer see anything like that. I've never seen what I'd call a ghost. I honestly don't know if I believe in them or not but I know there's more to life than meets the eye. I definitely have a sixth sense: I've only felt it twice but it was unmistakeable.

What is this hocus pocus new age horse manure ?
If kids think they see a ghost they are either just imagining things or there are problems . Boogie boogie boogie.
