I LOVE those heels...but if I wore them out I would most certainly break my ankle trying to keep the beat (stomping) in those shoes :)

Are you talking about my stripper shoes? There's nothing to it! They're like walking in 4 inch heels cause the platform is about 2 inches. I've got shoes that aren't platforms that are harder to walk in.

Then again, when you're like me, and basically NEVER in flats, they're all easy!

Except those ballet heels. Even I don't fancy taking them on!

Okay then...I could wear them easy since I own a lot of 4 inch heels that I have stomped to the beat in...and I live in heels too event though I am 5'11 :)

My 3 favorite pairs of shoes, from left to right, my most favorite, then second fav in the middle, and 3rd fav on the right -

I wasn't sure how that pic came out since it was with my cell phone and at night, so I took another, with just my 1st and second favorites -

My Skechers flip-flops are extremely comfortable, and while not quite dressy, do actually come pretty close. Have black leather uppers, contoured and very cushioned sole with arch support and don't make very much (if any) sound when walking. They also have a good tread patter on the bottom for grip as well. Free and easy breathing, comfortable, and look great (though it helps that I'm a bit odd as a guy, because I actually DO take care of my feet and make sure they are presentable).

The fishermans are also Skechers, and are much more dressy. They work great for going out when I want to take it up just a little, but it's still summer and hot. The only down side is they are a tiny bit on the tighter side, so I don't like wearing them for too long. Have worn them to the office at work on fridays before, but 9 hours is just too long (plus I'd rather save them for other occasions anyway).

And the last pair, I don't know what you would call them - again, also Skechers, very comfortable, although the back can of the inner sole can start to hurt the heel just a bit after a full day, but it's not that big a deal. Nice and loose nad comfortable for extended wear, yet conforming and tight enough to provide support for running, or hiking (off-road, including climinb hills and trees etc). They look nice, but are starting to get a little beat up, and are more running-shoe styled, so they are hardly dressy. But they work for particularly hot casual fridays at work (though I'm still planning to get another pair of fisherman's that are a bit wider and not quite so dressy as the Skechers I have (above)).

Never understood the appeal of crocs. I am all about comfort, but style is necessary too. And there are plenty of ways to be as comfortable as you could possibly want to be without sacrificing style (ie, crocs, hehe sorry :P )

I used to feel the same way, until I acquired a pair for free. They were SO GD COMFORTABLE! There have been times when my feet hurt so bad from the stinking non-slip P.O.S.'s that I am required to wear at work--after 8 or 9 hours in them--that the only thing I could wear without agony was those insufferable, ugly as sin, couldn't argue with the price (and too broke to afford to BUY another color), PINK(!) Crocs.

Never 'tested' them. I don't think I missed something.

I've got lots of (too many?) pairs of shoes, but I always come back to a classic black patent stiletto court. I think I've currently got 4 pairs, of which my favourite is an italian pair with very pointy toes and almost a 5" heel. Surprisingly reasonable to walk in and extremely sexy!

I'm the same Jenny, at the last count I had 52 pairs! I do love my red and my electric blue heels, but like you I really do love my 5" heeled courts. They do feel damn sexy!

I'm the same. No matter how practical or comfortable, I just can't get past this -

Az, that's NOT a shot at you, honestly. I just thought it was funny, and given this thread and the mention of them, it was just too funny not to post.

Speaking of comfort though, one would think that the most comfortable thing is nothing - except for walking on hard or harsh surfaces. The way to get sole protection and comfort, while also remaining as close to nothing as possible is flipflops. I don't much care for the name, but I do love the shoes.

It takes some digging to find a good pair. At least for a guy anyway. But once you find that balance of comfort and style, then get used to wearing them.... beleive me, it's the epitome of comfort.

The only "downside" (if one wanted to call it such) is having to maintain your feet to be presentable while exposed in public. It's something that everyone should do anyway (male or female), but a lot of guys just don't want to do it, some see it as even a femminine thing (not merely a hassle), but that's bunk. Just gotta slowly get their minds wrapped around the concept is all.

....annnnd I'm rambling.
