Aamir Khan To Star With Kate Winslet

Aamir Khan is set to star in his first Hollywood film alongside Oscar winner Kate Winslet.

The pair will star in the film showing the funny side of an Indian mental asylum in 1947 during the partition of India, based on the Pakistani play by Toba Keh Singh.

Kate is lined up for the film but if she rejects it director Pan Nalin will approach Rachel Weisz to play the role of Dr. Sophie.

Nalin said: "Either Kate or Rachel will be doing my film. I will be meeting both of them after my Cannes trip to finalise the casting. Either of them will be able to do justice to this marvelous story."

Aamir is said to have been impressed with the script and will play a mentally retarded person in the asylum.
