Akshay Kumar produces Hollywood movie

The Bollywood lovable actor Akshay Kumar presents a industry first as he becomes the first Bollywood star to produce a Hollywood movie. The 43-year-old actor not only produced the Hollywood flick 'Breakaway' but also makes a cameo appearance in it.

Directed by Robert Lieberman the movie stars a host of respected and popular mainstream artists such as Hollywood heartthrob, Rob Lowe; global comedy sensation Russell Peters; actress Camilla Belle (‘The Lost World: Jurassic Park’); recording artist Aubrey “Drake” Graham; and Grammy Award winning rapper Chris “Ludacris” Bridges. Akshay also collaborates with Ludacris musically for the song 'Shera Di Kaum.' And Bollywood funnyman Anupham Kher also has a role in the movie.

‘Breakaway’ is a gripping, cross-cultural hockey drama set in the Indo-Canadian community of suburban Toronto, Canada. The project provided the perfect Hollywood opportunity for Akshay. Who also has a passion for sport and Canada is one of his favorite locations.

The movie will be releasing on Friday 30th September 2011.
