Akshay Kumar donates money to the Ice Hockey Association of India

The actor's latest production 'Breakaway' is based on the sport of ice hockey. As part of promoting the movie Akshay decided to donate a total of Rs 2 crore to the Ice Hockey Association in New Delhi, which is the national body organizing ice hockey in India, under the supervision of the Worldwide Ice Hockey Federation.

He also hopes that the money will encourage people to get invovled in the game and make it popular in India. 'Breakaway' which is a Hollywood movie that is directed by Robert Lieberman and co-produced by Akshay Kumar’s home production, is a must-see movie with both Bollywood and Hollywood stars featuring in it.

The release date is September 23rd 2011.
