A.R Rahman looking very happy after picking up two Oscars for Slumdog Millionaire

Award winning Bollywood composer and pop sensation A.R Rahman has done it again. The 44-year-old has been nominated for Danny Boyles’s latest movie ‘127 Hours’ for the Gloden Globe Awards 2010.

This is the music maestro’s second opportunity to win the nomination, after winning two Grammy Awards for his music in Danny Boyle’s 2008 hit ‘Slumdog Millionaire.’

The movie ‘127 Hours’ is a biographical flick about mountaineer Aron Ralston. And the trails and tribulations he faces when trapped in a canyon for 5 whole days. In the movie James Franco who plays Aron Ralston has to amputate his own arm when a huge boulder falls on him leaving him in a life threatening position.

The film‘s music has been put in the Original Score for a motion picture category. The other nominations that are competing alongside ‘127 Hours’ for the Golden Awards in the same category are - Danny Elfman for ‘Alice in Wonderland’, Alexandre Desplat for ‘The King’s Speech’, Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross for the Social Network’, Hans Zimmer for Inception’.

The 127 Hours’ soundtrack also has a collaboration with A.R Rahman and pop star Dido.
