In the sizzling follow-up to Coleen’s first novel Envy, the girls are back - and this time, its murder!
Set in the cut-throat world of the television industry, Coleen admits it’s partly inspired by her own experiences, but insists only one of the characters is based on a Loose Woman – herself!
The Girl Talk presenters are out of work and out for revenge on the man who publicly humiliated them and destroyed their careers.
So when James Almond, the ruthless controller of Channel 6, is murdered, suspicion falls on all five women. Was it icy Julia Hill, recovering from the car crash that almost killed her and blaming James for her crippling injuries?
Naughty diva Lesley Gold, who is famed for holding a grudge? Sweet Karen King, who has finally learned to stand up for herself? Ambitious Cheryl, or weak Faye?
As the girls battle to get back on television, sort out their tangled love lives and avoid arrest, the body count starts to rise.
Who is the killer, and will they be able to stop her - or him - in time? Full of glamour, scandal and intrigue, Denial is a funny and fabulous read.
Coleen says “Obviously it’s based on the industry I’ve been in for over 30 years. I’ve seen the lot!
I think Denial is a sort of Mean Girls for older women and I’ve genuinely loved writing it. The only character based on anyone real is Karen, who’s actually sort of based on me – although she’s probably a bit nicer than me really!
She’s gone through stuff I have, like weight issues and ex-husbands and all that. I’ve been blown away by the reaction, there’s even talk about turning them into a series!”
Coleen is already a best selling author with over 500,000 sales. Denial is her 2nd Novel.
