Jimmy Coates: Sabotage is the fourth instalment of eleven year old Jimmy’s ongoing mission to overthrow NJ7, the secret government agency. Jimmy Coates is a boy with a difference. He is only 38% human. Jimmy has been genetically engineered to function as a government assassin, but his abilities are not supposed to develop until he is fully grown. His programming has malfunctioned and Jimmy is fighting back. He must resist his instincts to kill and find out the truth about his family and the government that created him.In Jimmy Coates: Sabotage Jimmy embarks on his most dangerous adventure yet. NJ7 thinks Jimmy is dead and for the first time in ages he feels safe, but not for long. Soon he’s back in the thick of the action. NJ7 have created Neptune’s Shadow, a secret missile base disguised as an oil rig.

They are preparing a strike on Paris, a move which will surely result in war.

Joe Craig has a CV to make most green with envy and when you realise he is still only 26 you know this young man is destined for big things.

He was born in North London to a talented Jewish family. After studying Philosophy at Cambridge University he decided to follow his ambition to become a songwriter and musician.

Joe has written pop songs as well as songs for musicals and theatre productions. It was in 2003, while he was still working as a songwriter, that he had his first idea for a story.

Just two years later that story, Jimmy Coates: Killer, was published by HarperCollins Children’s Books. The second book, Jimmy Coates: Target, followed in 2006 and the third, Jimmy Coates: Revenge, in January 2007.

Jimmy Coates: Revenge was named as one of the books to encourage 11-14 year old boys to read for pleasure in the Department for Education commissioned Boys into Books project.
