The Story of Control is the story about my life as a Dominatrix. But it also contains detailed references to my relationships, the difficulties I have faced as a Mistress, and elements of my family life.
Why did you decide to write your experiences down in a book?
I think it is a subject that it is certainly very taboo in our society, and there are a lot of misconceptions. I thought it would be interesting to write about my sessions, as I can get into some strange situations and meet some interesting characters.
Why did the idea of a strip club appeal to you when you were just starting out in work?
I think that, to a young girl, the concept of being able to command money for doing something not particularly skilled, and looking sexy, is appealing. This is especially so if you feel trapped in a dead-end job and want luxuries instantly. It's a way of obtaining these without spending years training to do an academic job.
How did you feel when you had your first professional photo shoot done at 21?
At the time it was exciting, as it was something I wanted to do.
When did you realise that you wanted something different from other women in the bedroom?
Well, I think it is important to always keep bedroom activity fresh and interesting, and everyone tries out different things. Probably in my late teens, I wanted to try out some bondage, and a bit of slap and tickle spanking with my first boyfriend.
Please tell us about how you went from modelling to being a dominatrix.
I got fed up with the modelling world, and wanted to gain some control as the modelling work is very male-orientated. All too often, as a woman, you can get sucked into the dream of making it as a model. I wanted to do something different and I saw being a Mistress a way of getting some control and me setting boundaries by punishing men.
Why did you feel it was a natural progression from one to the other?
In the industry, for some women, a natural progression would be doing escorting, I did not want do to that. Doing something fetish-related intrigued me. It was still unconventional, but I felt it was like the right next move for me personally.
What is next for you?
Well, possibly Book Two. But I am keeping my options open. I don’t know what the future holds but I know it will be exciting.
