Fifty Shades of Grey

Fifty Shades of Grey

There was a huge craze last year with the release of the steamy novels 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' trilogy, which has left Britons thirsty for more erotic romance novels. Travelodge a well-known hotel company have found certain trilogies in this category being the most left-behind index, which includes the likes of Jennifer Probst, Sylvia Day and of course, E.L James - author of Fifty Shades.

This is the second year running for the Fifty Shades books to top annual books left behind index with the third book named 'Freed' beating the others in numbers. (Fifty Shades of Grey came 6th and Fifty Shades Darker came 10th)

‘Bared to You’ is the first part of a trilogy which focuses on the romantic happenings between two characters, Eva Tramell and Gideon Cross.

“Our 2013 books left behind index has certainly revealed that the Fifty Shades phenomenon has created an appetite for Britons wanting to read more erotic romantic literature.

“Over the last three years our annual books left behind study has shown a decline in celebrity biographies but a rise in fiction books especially for thriller and romantic trilogies. A good book offers the ultimate escape which is a great companion whilst travelling.” Shakila Ahmed, Travelodge spokeswoman commented.
