I'm very excited about the release of Infatuation, the second book in the Nirvana trilogy. After positive reviews on my debut novel, Obsession, more than one person has asked what inspired the series. While sitting through conference room meetings at work in Corporate America, my mind wandered, bringing the office romance between Thaddeus Remington and Hannah Brinkley to life in my daydreams. Once I had transferred their short, albeit intense, relationship from mind to screen, it became necessary to throw an obstacle into their path in the form of Thaddeus' sexy 6'2" business rival. Unbeknownst to him, Hannah actually shares a past with his arch enemy and after a night of misunderstandings, Thaddeus sends her directly toward the man he hates the most.

Obsession naturally became my inspiration for Infatuation. Where a fantasy inspired the first novella, you could say that fiction imitated life for the second one. The past Hannah shares with Finley Wetherall had been strictly platonic, but not for a lack of her trying to win Finn's attention. Years earlier, she left London and her girl's crush behind, or at least that's what she thought until she ran into her crush in Atlanta. He extended an offer to her during that brief encounter and once she was back in close proximity to Finley, Hannah realizes that her crush may not be a thing of the past after all.

How does art imitate life in the next chapter of Hannah's journey toward true love? The main characters were once really good friends who manage to find their way back into each other's lives. The same could be said for my husband and me. I first met him when I was nineteen and while we hung out in the same social circles, neither one of us ever made the first move. Fast forward three years and a few mutual life mistakes later, and we ended up in the same place, at the same time. Our rediscovered friendship blossomed into something more so I didn't have to go any further than my own personal journey when searching for inspiration for Infatuation.

Just as the stars aligned for me in real life, they also do for Hannah and Finley. Friends to lovers: What could possibly go wrong? While Hannah has seemingly moved on with her life, the same cannot be said for Thaddeus Remington. When a ghost from her past returns, will her dream of a future with Finley be ruined forever? To find out the answer, pick up a copy of Infatuation, available everywhere on October 11th 2016 and then pick up the final instalment on January 24 2017.

Infatuation Blurb -

Fate gives Hannah Brinkley a second chance with her one-time infatuation until the secret she harbors threatens to tear it all apart. Fleeing the arms of one dynamic corporate tycoon, Hannah Brinkley crosses the Atlantic into the arms of another, one who is equally as dangerous to her heart as Thaddeus Remington. Unlike the man she left behind in Atlanta, Hannah shares history with Finley Wetherall and those old feelings for him return once again. Successful, powerful and hung up on the girl that got away, this time Finley is determined to fight for Hannah's heart and to do whatever is necessary to keep her. Years before, he was hesitant to make his move for fear that she couldn't handle his dark desires, but when she turns up on his doorstep, it has to be Fate. He will allow nothing or no one to stand between Hannah and their destiny. He soon finds out that he isn't the only one harboring secrets. Will Finley be able to break down the walls Hannah has built around herself? Or will she instead allow the ghosts of her past to destroy what they're currently building?
