Decide what you want. When you are clear on what you truly want in life, you will find it much easier to make your dreams a reality.
Take action “as if.” Act as if you already are the kind of person who is capable of achieving your goals and dreams – and you will become that person.
Unleash the power of goal-setting. The best way to make your dreams a reality is to chunk them down into manageable steps and achieve those steps, one by one. It really is that simple.
Experience your fear & take action anyway. Taking risks can be scary, because they require you to stretch beyond your comfort zone. But that’s where the magic happens! So lean into the experience and trust that it will teach you something valuable.
Use joy as your guidance system. An ideal life is one where your work is fully aligned with your passions. So if you want to tell if a particular path is taking you closer to living that ideal life, pay attention to whether it brings you joy.
Ask for what you want. It’s the best way to make sure you get it. The universe responds to those who are clear on what they want and share their dreams with others.
Reject rejection. Every “no” brings you closer to a “yes.” My first Chicken Soup for the Soul book was rejected 135 times before a publisher accepted it – and I was able to grow that book into a billion-dollar brand! So be grateful for each no, knowing it’s taking you closer to that all-important YES.
Use feedback to your advantage. There are people in your life right now who can give you the advice you need to improve your performance. Ask them to tell you what you need to know.
Practice persistence. Above all, don’t give up! When you are trying to accomplish big goals, obstacles are bound to get in your way. See them as opportunities to learn and grow – because the lessons you learn from them are what you need to know to create the life of your dreams.
