The Siren

Forget swooning on the sofa or canoodling behind the cabinet, Mills & Boon’s The Siren, from its saucy Spice series, has topped Kindle’s erotica bestsellers’ chart this week. According to the Kindle charts, The Siren, the first in The Original Sinner series of erotic novels by Tiffany Reisz, is getting fiction lovers hot under the collar as eBook sales soar.

Released in May 2012, The Siren is the first of Reisz’ erotic, BDSM novels. Its multi-dimensional and troubled characters, emotional page turning storyline and mesmerising erotic moments, have made it a success worldwide.

Reisz followed The Siren with The Angel in September 2012 and the hotly anticipated launch of her third novel, The Prince, has already become Mills & Boon’s most pre-ordered title of 2012 - hitting the shelves next Tuesday 20th November.

Reisz started her writing career when she was a student at a Kentucky seminary school, studying Catholicism. Unbeknownst to her classmates, she was writing erotic fan fiction at night when in 2009, Reisz finally took her friends’ advice and starting pitching her stories to publishers.

Tara Benson, Head of Marketing at Harlequin Mills & Boon comments: “Reisz is an extraordinary author and The Siren is our standout debut novel this year. She is a world class writer and leader of her genre, alongside the likes of El James and Sylvia Day. It’s an exceptional milestone achievement and it looks like The Angel and The Prince will be hot on the heels of The Siren for the No.1 spot.”
