Research shows in the last three years 8.4 million people switched careers, with 3.2 million planning on doing the same thing this year.
It’s thought millions of adults want to “skill up” over the next 12 months, with a large number of them determined to improve their employability during the economic downturn.
The current financial climate is the catalyst for many preparing to swap with 15 percent of people considering changing their profession because of redundancy worries – 7 percent say they want a line of work that’s less susceptible to the downturn.
The research has been revealed in a study by the Association of Colleges for Colleges Week ( 9th-16th November)
