Captain America blasted onto the big screen in 2011 as Chris Evans took on the title role in Captain America: The First Avenger.
The movie was directed by Joe Johnston and also starred Tommy Lee Jones, Hugo Weaving, Hayley Atwell and Dominic Cooper.
The First Avenger was met well by the critics and went on to gross in excess of $368 million at the global box office by the end of its theatrical run.
Filming on Captain America: The Winter Solider is underway and sees Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Anthony Mackie and Robert Redford all on board.
Anthony and Joe Russo are in the director's chair this time around while Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have penned the screenplay.
