Having already been tipped across the board for great things in 2007 Air Traffic return with a new single ‘Charlotte’ on March 26th on EMI Records. Taken from their as yet untitled & forthcoming debut album, ‘Charlotte’ is a breathtaking, dynamic and punchy burst of addictive anthemic rock that has quickly become a real fan favourite live, and sounds equally as powerful through the FM dial as it does through Marshall stacks. 2006 ended on a high with the band performing 2 songs live on Later with Jools Holland whilst their first two limited releases ‘Just Abuse Me’ (on Fierce Panda) & ‘Never Even Told Me Her Name EP’ saw the band championed by the likes of Zane Lowe, Steve Lamacq & Jo Whiley, XFM tipped by NME, GQ, the BBC in their influential bands for 07 poll and a broad range of the press from The Sun to The Fly, The Sunday Times to More Magazine. Currently in their element amidst their biggest UK tour to date throughout February and March (including a recent triumphant three night sold out residency at London’s Barfly venue and an NME Awards show at KOKO on Feb 15th as special guests to The Spinto Band ), Air Traffic have now extended the tour after their scheduled appearances at this years SXSW festival in Austin, Texas to the end of March due to overwhelming demand for tickets with additional dates added in London, Glasgow, Manchester & Birmingham. The band has spent much of the year holed up recording their highly anticipated debut album at Rockfield studios in Wales and Olympic in West London and are just putting the final touches to the magnificent set which is due for release this summer. Fans are already getting the chance to hear these songs for the first time as the band performs them live each night.TOUR DATES AS FOLLOWS:
