Giles Deacon, Gareth Pugh and Johnathan Saunders are amoung the designers who have created a specially decorated set top box to brighten up living rooms throughout the country.
Sky unveiled the new collection of five unique Sky HD boxes today featuring exclusive designs from some of the UK’s most iconic and visionary creative talent.
The limited edition Sky HD Designer Box Collection, from Giles Deacon, Jonathan Saunders, Gareth Pugh, Basso & Brooke and Preen.
“Last year I worked on a programme with Sky Arts and it seemed like a great idea to collaborate with Sky HD on a product that puts art into the home in high definition. Sky HD gives clarity of image that has never existed before and it’s a great way to communicate fashion and art to those who are not there to see it live," said Giles Deacon.
Johnathan Saunders also explained the motivation behind his bold printed design: “I have a passion for individual and one off pieces and so was very pleased to be asked to contribute a design to be used on this limited edition range of Sky HD designer boxes. As anyone who has seen my work knows, I also love colour, and I have been blown away by the intensity of colours I see everyday now I’ve got Sky HD."
