British teenager Gregg Sulkin has been picked from hundreds of hopefuls to star in 'Avalon High' as Will Wagner. He’s on the brink of international stardom and following in the footsteps of other young Disney stars.

The London-born actor was recently cast opposite Selena Gomez in BAFTA-winning 'The Wizards of Waverly Place' and is now starring in 'Avalon High', a new Disney Original Movie based on the award-winning novel by best-selling author Meg Cabot ("The Princess Diaries").  The film premieres on 28th  January 2011.

The 18-year-old Londoner - who has since relocated to Hollywood joins a growing list of global teen sensations, who have been given their first television break with the Disney Channel.

'Avalon High' follows Allie Pennington, a new student to Avalon High who is shocked to discover that her new classmates are reincarnations of King Arthur and his Court.

Gregg was discovered in 2007 when he secured the role of JJ in the British version of As The Bell Rings, Gregg is Disney Channel UK’s leading home-grown star.

In January 2010 the teenager was picked from hundreds of hopefuls to play Alex Russo’s (Selena Gomez) love interest in the third season of Wizards of Waverly Place

In June, the teenager starred in a climactic, adventure-filled one-hour episode of the Emmy Award-winning comedy on Disney Channel UK, playing Alex's new boyfriend, Mason, in a top-secret storyline entitled Wizards vs. Werewolves. Both episodes in which he starred have been the UK channel’s most popular with viewers.

Gregg discovered his passion for acting when he was chosen from 5,000 hopefuls to play the lead role of Bernie Reubens in Sixty Six directed by Paul Weiland. He appeared alongside British stars such as Helena Bonham Carter, Eddie Marsen, Catherine Tate and Stephen Rea.
 
A keen sportsman, Gregg enjoys playing tennis and has also played football professionally for five years at established London clubs, Queens Park Rangers and West Ham United.

In "Avalon High," Allie is ecstatic when her parents, travelling professors who specialize in King Arthur's legend, tell her she will be staying at Avalon High until she graduates.

She can finally join the track team, make new friends and be a normal high school student. But shortly after arriving, Allie discovers that something strange may be afoot.

While researching a term paper on King Arthur's legacy, she begins to notice some interesting parallels between the past and the present - from handsome quarterback Will, his cheerleader girlfriend, Jen, and their best friend,  Lance, to Will's brooding step-brother, Marco, a quirky kid named Miles and football players who act like knights of the roundtable.

The deeper Allie searches, the more convinced she is that her school is a contemporary Camelot, and it's up to her to solve of the mystery of Avalon High before notorious traitor Mordred wins again.
