Aaron Carter has called off his engagement to Playboy Playmate, Kari Ann Peniche after just one week.The singer, 18, only proposed to the 22-year-old - who previously dated his older brother, Backstreet Boys member Nick - onstage in Las Vegas on September 16.He told Us Weekly: "I got caught up in the moment and proposed. I then realized it was a hasty thing to do and I am not ready for marriage quite yet. A source close to Aaron, 18, revealed: "They are just going to be friends now. She still wants to keep dating him but Aaron is not quite sure."He was trying to appease her but came to his senses and realized it was the wrong thing to do."The singer proposed to Kari Ann in front of 2,000 people during Playboy's Hollywood Comedy Tour show at the Palms Casino Resort.Kari Ann confessed she was left stunned by Carter's surprise proposal.
