The TV world paid tribute to the late Aaron Spelling at the Emmy Awards. However, while the audience at the prestigious awards ceremony united to celebrate the legendary TV producer on Sunday (27.08.06), his feuding wife and daughter kept their distance. Actress Tori Spelling, 33, sat with her husband Dean McDermott - rows away from her mother Candy and brother Randy. As a host of stars spoke about Aaron, Candy wept into a tissue while Tori tightly gripped her husband's hand. It was reported that Candy had banned Tori from attending the tribute and had refused to release footage of her daughter appearing in 'Beverly Hills 90210' - one of Aaron's shows. Aaron - the mastermind behind a host of classic programmes including 'Dynasty' and Charlie's Angels - died in June this year. Relations between Tori and Candy reportedly worsened after Aaron left his daughter just $800,000 from his $500 million fortune. Tori insisted she had made up with her father on his deathbed.

The original 'Charlie's Angels' stars - Jaclyn Smith, Cheryl Ladd and Kate Jackson - were reunited for their personal farewell to the man who made them famous.

Smith said: "I'm sure he's looking down on us and smiling on us, knowing he brought us together as only he could."

'Dynasty' star Joan Collins also spoke fondly of the producer.

She said: "Aaron understood what a star was. He helped to create many stars and, in my case, he reinvented one. Thank you Aaron, I owe you one baby."
