'24' star Aisha Tyler has revealed she used to rebel against her vegetarian parents by eating meat behind their backs. The sexy actress, who played Ross' girlfriend, Charlie, in 'Friends', says her parents wouldn't let her eat meat when she was growing up and instead of doing the 'normal' teenage rebelling, she decided to eat meat. She said in an interview with Britain's Night and Day magazine: "I love food. I'm not someone who has ever been able to survive on lettuce leaves. My parents were vegetarians and I went to school with sandwiches with tofu and greens. " None of the other kids wanted to trade their lunches with me. It forced me to be funny and make friends. I had to assimilate with the other youngsters even though I felt like an outsider. "When other kids were rebelling by smoking and drinking, I was going out and sneaking meat on the side.

It sounds crazy but my idea of rebellion was to buy a turkey dinner and eat it without mum and dad knowing."
