ALEC BALDWIN AND BASINGER FIGHT OVER CUSTODY AGAIN ALEC BALDWIN's messy custody battle with former wife KIM BASINGER is about to get nastier after the actor called the police on the actress for not handing over their daughter. Baldwin, who filed legal papers demanding more custody privileges last week (ends23SEP05), reportedly turned up at Basinger's home at the weekend and was denied access to his daughter IRELAND. Sources tell US TV news show, he then called the police and accused the LA CONFIDENTIAL star of violating an agreed custody order. In legal papers, obtained by TV show producers before the weekend's incident, Baldwin demanded a custody increase, claiming his ex had no respect for his parental rights. He states, "I believe the child lives in a constant state of tension, wherein she must never display or divulge her true feelings for her father because of the mother's all-consuming and bitter feelings toward me." Baldwin and Basinger split in 2002 when Ireland was six. The warring couple have been battling for custody of the child ever since.

In other related news ALEC BALDWIN is making a trip to New Orleans, Louisiana, to help with the relief efforts in the hurricane ravaged city.

The Hollywood actor fell in love with New Orleans after filming his 1995 TV movie A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE there, and he's vowed to help rebuild the city, which has been battered by hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

He says, "We were there for four and a half months... and we cried when we left. It was the most wonderful place.

"So I'm gonna go do this relief work for Habitat for Humanity in November. I spoke to the people from special projects... I'm gonna go to do cleanup relief work."
