Amy Adams: Motherhood isn't easy

Amy Adams - who has an 18-month-old daughter, Aviana, with fiancé Darren Le Gallo - admits she doesn't make motherhood seem easy as she struggles with timekeeping and tidiness.
Amy Adams admits she doesn't make motherhood seem easy.
The 37-year-old actress has an 18-month-old daughter, Aviana, with fiance Darren Le Gallo and while being a parent has made her a more "patient" person, she struggles to be punctual and tidy, though she doesn't give herself a hard time over her shortcomings.
She said: "I'm definitely not one of those women who make [motherhood] look easy. I'm always running late - and look, there's guacamole on my purse! But I'm more patient than I ever thought I would be, and I'm not hard on myself anymore."
The 'Fighter' actress also insisted she didn't feel pressured to get back in shape after having Aviana and doesn't worry about the fact she is still carrying extra pounds around her stomach.
She told the new issue of America's InStyle magazine: "I read about these actresses who get on a stationary bike two weeks after giving birth and I'm like, 'What? Where did you push your baby out of?' Since having Aviana, I have a muffin top, and that's OK right now."
Amy and Darren have been engaged for over three years and she says becoming a parent has given her more of an urgency about tying the knot - and the only obstacle to her walking down the aisle is she can't decide when to do it.
She said: "I'll say to Darren, 'What do you think of May?' and he'll say, 'May. Ha, ha. You just let me know.' I just can't decide!
"I am putting more pressure on myself now that we have Avi. I'll figure it out soon."
