Anne Heche has given birth to a boy.

The 'Nip/Tuck' star and her partner James Tupper welcomed 6lb 12oz Atlas into the world over the weekend.

Mother and baby are both doing well. Anne and James are ecstatic.

Her representative confirmed: "Mother and baby are both doing well. Anne and James are ecstatic."

Anne - who began dating James in 2007 after meeting on the set of US TV show 'Men In Trees' - already has a seven-year-old son, Homer, with her ex-husband Coley Laffoon.

A source added: "Homer is very excited to be a big brother."

Anne's divorce from Coley - who she was married to for five years - was finalised earlier this week, following nine months spent agreeing on custody of Homer and the split of their assets.

According to court documents, Anne must give Coley a $515,000 lump sum payment.

The couple will share custody of Homer, with Anne paying Coley $3,500 a month in child support.

Anne, 39, filed for divorce in 2007 citing irreconcilable differences.
