Angelina Jolie's party refusal

Angelina Jolie refused to enter a party until her estranged father had left. The 'Tomb Raider' star and her boyfriend Brad Pitt turned up to actor Scott Caan's Hollywood birthday party, only to find her that her dad, actor Jon Voight, had also been invited. Jolie - who has not spoken to her father since he said on US TV that she had "mental problems" in 2002 - was so determined not to come face-to-face with the 'Deliverance' actor that she and Brad waited outside in a car for half-an-hour. Brad eventually ventured inside alone to send his birthday wishes to Caan - his 'Ocean's Thirteen' co-star - and moments after he appeared Voight left. Once the coast was clear, the Angelina, 31, entered through the back door. Meanwhile, the 'Tomb Raider' actress has splashed out £1.5 million on a private plane after gaining her pilot licence. She reportedly wanted the freedom of being able to fly her family, including baby Shiloh Nouvel and her adopted children Maddox and Zahara, to any destination at any time.

A source revealed: "The plane Angelina bought is the largest single-engine propeller plane you can get."
