Anthony Keidis got the inspiration to perform wearing just a sock over his penis - after answering the door to a fan naked.The Red Hot Chilli Peppers frontman has revealed he convinced his bandmates to carry out the now infamous stunt after an unusual meeting with a keen supporter who had developed a crush on him.He said: "She was cute and her advances included sending me greeting cards with foldout rulers to measure the size of your d**k. "One day she showed up to the house and I decided to answer the door naked except for a sock wrapped round my d**k and b***s."The band, infamous for their drug-fuelled antics, chose to don the interesting attire for a headlining show at strip club-come-music venue the Kit Kat Club in 1983.Keidis revealed to Britain's GQ magazine: "We had already been playing shirtless, and we realised the power and beauty of nudity on stage."Usually when you're playing your d**k goes into protection mode, so you're not elongated, you're more compact. So to have this added appendage was a great feeling."
