Ashley Olsen has cancelled a trip to Australia to be with her twin sister, Mary-Kate, who is being treated for an eating disorder.
The pretty 18-year-old actress, who shot to fame with her sister on American TV show 'Full House' at the age of nine months, had been due to fly to Australia to promote the twins' new movie, 'New York Minute', but decided to stay and support Mary-Kate.
The chief executive of the twins' Dualstar Entertainment Group, Robert Thorne, said: "Ashley Olsen has decided to be with her family at this time."
"While it is unfortunate that plans have been cancelled, Mary-Kate and Ashley appreciate everyone's support and understanding at this time.
They look forward to coming to Australia and New Zealand in the very near future."
Mary-Kate was admitted to an eating disorder clinic for reported anorexia last week, just days after the twins' celebrated their 18th birthday.
Her spokesman, Michael Pagnotta, said at the time: "Mary-Kate entered a treatment facility to seek professional help for a health-related issue.
She is thankful for the encouragement and support of her friends and family, who are with her every step of the way."
