Avril Lavigne slams druggie stars

Avril Lavigne has slammed Hollywood stars who take drugs.The Canadian star - who used to be a regular on the Los Angeles party scene - insists she hates illegal substances and has never experimented with any drugs herself.She said: "I'm proud to say that I do not do drugs."I'm against them 100 per cent - and I don't hang out with people who do drugs."The singer-turned-actress - who voices a possum in new animated movie 'Over The Hedge' - has also revealed she is determined to make her fledgling acting career a success.She said: "That's how I go about things. I do what I do and take the steps I'm going to take and I don't worry about other people. I don't think anyone should go through life that way."
