I'm very independent and very low-maintenance. I don’t like people touching my hair, doing my make-up or telling me what to wear.The 'Anti-Britney' says she prefers to go solo instead.She added: I just find the less people around, the better things are. I don't need people around me telling me what to do. I’m like: 'Just go!'.Avril has also proved she can look after herself after recently kicking a girl in her private parts for criticizing her music.The blonde singer was so furious after being told she had ruined punk rock music - she retaliated by getting in a fight.

Avril confessed: In a bar, a few months ago, some chick came up to me and said something, like, 'You're not punk rock, blah blah blah' So I kicked her in the box and shoved her.

I never once said I was punk. I'm just a really strong, opinionated person.
