David and Victoria Beckham’s butler has quit his job, amid claims he could no longer cope with Victoria’s demands.
John Giles-Larkin and wife Nikki left their positions in the Beckham household on Friday (03.12.04) as they were said to be fed-up with the constant workload that was put upon them.
A friend of the couple, who began working for the Real Madrid ace and former Spice Girl in 2002, said: “They’ve just had enough. John loved working for David but found it less easy working with Victoria. She was always making demands on him.
“If anything was needed she’d shout for him and get him to do it, regardless of what he was doing.”
John, who helped organise the 2nd birthday party of Victoria and David’s youngest son, Romeo, in September, was also said to be worried about how much work he would have to do for Romeo and brother Brooklyn’s star-studded christening later this month.
However, John has vowed he won’t publicly discuss his life with the family, much to the relief of Victoria, who is paranoid about keeping her personal life private.
He said: “I’m not interested in any offers. It is a matter of professional confidentiality.”
A spokesman for the Beckhams, who are expecting their third child in March, said the departure had been “amicable”.
