David and Victoria Beckham have joined forces with Elton John to splash out on a lavish new holiday home. The soccer ace and his former Spice Girl wife have reportedly combined their riches with the flamboyant singer and a mystery third investor - believed to be rock star Sting - to splash out more than £4 million on a nine-bedroom beachside pad in South Africa's exclusive coastal village, Llandudno. A source is quoted by Britain's Daily Star newspaper as saying: "The best thing about the place is the scenery. There are floor-to-ceiling windows with views out to sea." The superstar couple, whose first son Brooklyn is Sir Elton's Godson, have told pals they will initially use the three-storey beach house as a holiday home but are considering plans to turn it into a trendy 'boutique hotel'. According to reports, the palatial home - situated just 10 miles from Cape Town - is already in hot demand. The trio - whose combined fortune is estimated at more than £300 million - have already rejected a £3 million offer for the three-year-old mansion, which was designed by South Africa leading architect, Stefan Antoni. Sir Elton has made no secret of his desire to add to his flourishing property portfolio.
The 57-year-old star and his partner, David Furnish, who have played host to the Beckhams at their St Tropez pad on a string of occasions, also divide their time between other houses in Atlanta and London.
He said in a recent interview: "I'm addicted to buying a piece of property, doing it up, and then buying another piece. My mum always wanted me to put my money in bricks and mortar instead of up my nose."
