California Roll

Prep / cook time 30-35 minutes

Serves 4

• 200g sushi rice cooked
• 2 avocados quartered
• 4 seaweed sheets
• 1 – 2 tablespoons Heinz Salad Cream
• 6 crab sticks

Lay out the seaweed paper, add a ¼ of the rice and spread out evenly ¼ the way up of the seaweed paper. Now drizzle some Heinz Salad Cream through the middle. Add avocado on top along with 1 ½ crab sticks. Wrap the roll tightly and use a little water on the end of your finger to moisten the end of the roll.

Cut with a very sharp knife through the middle. Then slice in half again and serve.

Roasted Vegetables Ciabatta

Prep cook time 35 minutes

Serves 4

•1 aubergine
•2 courgettes
•2 red peppers
•1 green pepper
•1 large white onion
•2 tablespoons olive oil
•Rock salt and pepper
•2 tablespoons Heinz Salad Cream •2 ciabatta loafs

Slice the aubergine into 1 inch discs. Slice down the middle the courgettes into 4 slices each, quarter the onion. Take the top off the peppers and discard the seeds, now quarter them, place them all in a large mixing bowl. Add the oil and season. Mix well. Place an a baking tray so all the vegetables are laid flat. Heat the oven to 190 and bake for 25 minutes. You can place under the grill for an additional 5 minutes to caramelise the vegetables.

Slice the ciabatta loafs through the middle and spread over a table spoon of Heinz Salad Cream on each. Layer the vegetables evenly on each loaf. Press down hard and cut in half, Serve with a salad

Chopped Chicken Salad Sandwich

Prep time 5 minutes

•4 slices white or wholemeal bread
•200g cooked chicken
•2 tablespoon Heinz Salad Cream
•2 celery stalks

Chop the chicken and dice the celery, place in a bowl with the Salad Cream and mix well. If you are not eating this straight away take a few salad leaves and place on the bread, this stops the bread going soggy. Now add half the ingredients to each sandwich and serve.

Tuna Sashimi Salad

Prep time 10 minutes

Serves 2 •1 sushi grade tuna steak 250g-300g
• Salad leaves for 2
• 1 teaspoon sesame oil
• 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
• 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
• 1 teaspoon soy sauce
• 2 tablespoons Heinz Salad Cream
• ½ red onion finely chopped
• ½ juice 1 lemon

If you are worried about using raw fish, here are 2 tips, firstly ask at the fish counter if it is good for sushi. Secondly you can marinade the fish in lemon juice which cures the fish killing any bacteria

Slice the tender part of the tuna into long thin strips, When you get to a hard part to cut, discard it because this is the sinew and not good for sushi style dishes. Now place the leaves in a bowl with all the ingredients . Mix and serve.

Prawn and Avocado Salad

Prep time 5-8 minutes

Serves 2

• 1 avocado
• 3 tablespoons Heinz Salad Cream
• Salad leaves for 2 people
• 300g cooked prawns

Dice the avocado and add to the salad leaves in a large mixing bowl. Add the prawns and Salad Cream and mix well. Always mix salad dressing in a bowl first to coat the leaves in the dressing evenly. Serve with a warm bread roll
