Kaiser Chiefs to rule the Brits

British rock band the Kaiser Chiefs look set to sweep the board at next month's star-studded Brit Awards.The band has been nominated for five of the coveted accolades, including Best Rock Act, Best British Group and British Breakthrough Act.Lead singer Ricky Wilson said: "I'm delighted. I can hardly believe it."We're going to ditch the water for the wine and really celebrate."Newcomer James Blunt has also been nominated for five awards, including Best Male and Best British Single for his huge hit song, 'You're Beautiful'.Elsewhere, Coldplay - who are set to perform at the awards bash - will battle it out with Scottish rockers Franz Ferdinand and animated group Gorillaz in the Best British Group category.Madonna scooped three nominations, including International Female Solo Artist and International Album, for 'Confessions On A Dancefloor'.Oasis were nominated for two awards, Best Live Act and Best Rock, but look set to snub the prestigious ceremony after failing to be nominated in the Best Album category for latest record 'Don't Believe The Truth'.
The Brit Awards will take place at London's Earl Court on February 15.
