Britney Spears is set to hire hypnotherapist Allen Carr to help her quit smoking
The newlywed singer is reportedly desperate to give up the bad habit before she becomes a mum, so she is planning to ask the British expert for advice.
A friend revealed to Britain's Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Britney has made no secret about wanting a baby but doesn't want to be puffing away if she's pregnant.
"When she quits smoking she wants it to be forever. She's tried other forms of quitting and they have simply not worked."
Carr, who has written 15 best-selling self-help books, is confident he can help Britney give up cigarettes once and for all.
He said: "I'm delighted when anyone would want to use my books or clinics."Britney will undergo a five-hour course, which costs £195, at one of Carr's Easyway clinics, which will involve a combination of hypnotism and psychotherapy to help the star understand why she smokes.
Previous stars to give up smoking using Carr's methods include actress Julie Christie, actor Anthony Hopkins and business tycoon Richard Branson.
