Cattrall's New Movie To Head Straight To DVD

Kim Cattrall's new film Meet Monica Velour is to go straight to DVD in Britain after failing to impress U.S cinemagoers.

  The Sex and the City star plays a washed-up prostitute in the movie, but it failed to set the box office alight in America when it was released last year (10).

  It made its U.K. debut at Scotland's Edinburgh Film Festival earlier this week (begs20Jun11) - but instead of hitting cinemas, it is scheduled to be released on DVD only.

  Cattrall's agent tells Britain's Daily Telegraph, "We were planning for an art house release."
