Cheryl Cole’s smile has come top in a list of favourite celebrity smiles, while Victoria Beckham pouts too much.
Simon Cowell is described as having a ‘successful’ smile, and Alan Carr’s is ‘sarcastic’, according to body language expert Robert Phipps.
Louise Redknapp and Rachel Stevens also scored high in the survey carried out by Orbit Complete.
Louise Redknapp said: “A friendly smile can display your personality and warm people to you, it makes you more approachable”.
The study found that 59% of people use their smiles to get what they want, such as to make friends, get served at a bar and to get out of a sticky situation.
A quarter of people use their smiles to make a good impression at work with their boss and colleagues. And when it comes to flirting, men are the cheekier gender. Younger men are more likely to use their smiles to attract the ladies, but women are more inclined to smile to simply make friends.
Phipps said: “Different smiles have different effects. If people have that winning smile, they will naturally be perceived as more confident, pleasant, attractive, sociable and competent.
