Christina Aguilera's has revealed the artwork on her new album was inspired by Marilyn Monroe. The 'Dirrty' singer - who is seen in the photographs suggestively posing on a bed in a sexy outfit, with bright red lipstick and a coiffured blonde hairstyle - says she was influenced by the screen legend and other movie sex sirens when creating her new look. She said: "I'm referencing Marilyn Monroe, Marlene Dietrich, Carole Lombard and Greta Garbo."We wanted an old Hollywood feel where you're kind of in the bed, but also being inviting. We got to play a little dress-up. A huge element of this is also a 1920s circus theme."The 25-year-old star's new style is a far cry from the raunchy hotpant-clad image she promoted for her 'Stripped' album - which featured worldwide hits 'Dirrty' and 'Fighter'.She said: "For the 'Stripped' record, it was a very real and honest place for me, but it was also a darker place. So I feel really lifted. Things are lighter for me. I'm happier now than I have ever been."0Comments | Be the first to comment!
