Cindy Crawford rejects an offer to pose nude

Cindy Crawford has rejected an offer to pose nude for Playboy magazine - despite stripping off for them twice before.

The 38-year-old supermodel, who appeared in the raunchy men's magazine twice until her last appearance in 1999, says she turned down the lucrative deal after the death of renowned photographer, Herb Ritts on Boxing Day last year.

She said: " Herb Ritts who took shot both the sessions before was a very good friend of mine. He passed away and I don't know that I would trust anyone in that same way I trusted him."

The sexy star, who was the first supermodel to star in a sexy spread for the magazine, also says she feared the effect on her children, Presley and Kaya, if she accepted to proposal.

Mother-of-two Cindy, who is married to businessman Randy Gerber, admitted she was especially worried that her son would be embarrassed if she decided to strip off.

She added: "Now that I have kids it's a different consideration because my son's five and he's not quite aware yet, but I just wouldn't want him to get hassled."

Last year, stunning Cindy shot returned to frontline modelling shooting her first front cover for British fashion magazine Vogue in ten years.

The brunette beauty posed for the raunchy range of photographs wearing a skin-tight see-through white mini-dress and shell jewellery while being drenched in water, a decade after her last cover shoot.

But despite maintaining her supermodel figure, the star, who was once married to 'Pretty Woman' actor Richard Gere, admitted she doesn't dress so provocatively at home.

She said: "Mini skirts may look great on a girl of 25, but I'm 38 and I'd only wear one on the beach."
