Cindy Crawford has revealed she and Rande Gerber are so starved of quality time together they often escape to their guesthouse for sex.

The supermodel and her businessman husband Rande find it difficult to get quality time together since they had kids Presley, 11, and Kaia, nine, so when they do get a chance to sneak out to their beachside building they rarely bother trying to create a romantic mood.

Cindy said: "It's not planned. Yeah, we have a little guesthouse down on the beach. It's like a getaway without getting away.

"Sometimes we don't bother with the candle light. Sometimes you just have to do it! You know, you're in a time crunch. You don't want the kids walking in, that happened to us not that long ago."

Although they have been caught in the act by their children, Cindy doesn't get embarrassed and says her kids are now aware that she and Randy need quality time together.

Cindy explained to US TV show 'Access Hollywood': "We had our door locked and we never lock our door lock and our daughter comes. She's like, 'What are you doing in there?' I said, 'You know what, Daddy and I are spending some time together,' and then she was like, 'Oh God! I don't want to hear that!'

"Now, she knows if the door is closed and locked, don't [try to come in]."
