Colin Farrell's undercover confessions

Colin Farrell spent months working with undercover police to prepare for his role in 'Miami Vice'.The Irish actor - who plays Sonny Crockett in the remake of the hit 80's TV series - lived the life of a cop to learn about the reality of their job.He told BANG Showbiz: "We spent a lot of time with some undercover cops, just doing research, and built a lot of trust with these guys."During his training, the 'Alexander' actor was tricked by officers into thinking he had been caught in a shoot-out.He added: "They were particularly keen we came along when they were gonna make a bite - get about 10 kilos of cocaine off a bunch of Colombians."They said I could come along if I wanted and have a look."I went along and the s**t hit the fan - guns were pulled! I nearly had an accident in my pants, I was so scared.

"I found out the next day it was a joke and felt like a right plonker!"
