David Bowie is set to star in cartoon series 'SpongeBob SquarePants'.The music legend begged bosses to let him voice a part for the children's animated show because his six-year-old daughter, Alexandria, is a big fan.The 59-year-old wrote on his internet blog: "At last, I've hit the Holy Grail of animation gigs." Bowie will play the role of Lord Royal Highness in a new special episode.SpongeBob is a friendly sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea, with his pet snail Gary.This is not the first time Bowie has worked with fantastical creatures.The 'Heroes' singer starred in Jim Henson's 1986 cult classic 'Labyrinth', as Jareth, the king of the goblins.
