David Schwimmer to be a dad

Former 'Friends' actor David Schwimmer and his wife Zoe Buckman are expecting their first child together.

David Schwimmer is going to be a father.

The former 'Friends' star's wife Zoe Buckman is pregnant with their first child and the couple are delighted with the happy news.

A representative for the actor said: "They couldn't be more thrilled."

David's family has known about the pregnancy for the last few weeks but the couple were determined to keep the news under wraps until the time was right to share their joy with the world.

A source told BANG Showbiz: "Everyone is overjoyed for them. They are such a great couple and they have been thinking about having a baby since they got married in the summer. They will be great parents and this is the right time for them to start a family. This has topped off a great year for them both."

David and British photographer Zoe met in London in 2007 when the 44-year-old star was directing comedy movie 'Run, Fat Boy, Run' with Simon Pegg and she was working as a waitress at the Cuckoo Club.

They announced their engagement in March 2010 and tied the knot in a private ceremony in early June.
