Debbie Harry has confessed to injecting herself with sheep embryos to preserve her youthful looks.
The Blondie singer discovered a Swiss clinic in Montreux specialising in "fresh cell replacement" when she was 35.
The treatment involves having cell injections which are taken from different embryos of black sheep.
Debbie, 62, said: "I thought, 'Wow, this is so logical - you have fresh cells'. I was the youngest person that had ever done it.
"They made the injections from the embryos of black sheep, and they would take from different organs in different embryos - from the liver, the glands and from the bone - in order to make up the injections. There were 11 injections in all."
But the 'Heart of Glass' singer now regrets having the treatment.
Debbie also revealed she has had "facial surgery" to stay looking youthful and now depends on the controversial hormone treatment HGH to stave off old age.
HGH, also known as Growth Hormone Replacement Therapy and hGH, claims to reduce the biological and physical effects of ageing and improve physical performance
She said: "At one time age was considered wisdom and prestige. But now nobody really values age the way they did."
She recalls, "They would take from the sheep embryo's liver, from the glands, from the bone and make up these injections, and I thought it was marvellous" Harry has since turned to injecting growth hormones, but is quick to justify the radical step: "I think it's sort of like the same thing when a diabetic has to do insulin. It's nourishment from the inside"
