Eddie Cibrian in hospital dash

LeAnn Rimes' husband Eddie Cibrian was rushed to hospital from the set of 'The Playboy Club' yesterday (05.10.11) after injuring his heel.

The 'Playboy Club' star - who is married to LeAnn Rimes - suffered a deep gash on his heel when it caught underneath a 200lb steel door while running down an alley on the show's set and was taken for treatment at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

LeAnn took to her twitter page to talk about her husband's injury, admitting his heel was "messed up".

She wrote: "My husband is hurt...stitches in his Achilles! going home.....nurse Le on the red eye :)

"running down stairs... It's not pretty...he is OK.... but he's messed up,(sic)"

Asked by a follower if he was on crutches, she replied: "no just HUGE stitches....when it rains it pours, but that means NOTHING but bed tmrw ;) (sic)"

Eddie's injury came on the day it was announced 'The Playboy Club' had been axed and shortly after the couple's home was crashed into by a suspected drunk-driver.

A 20-year-old motorist - who was driving with a suspended license - slammed into singer's property in the gated neighborhood of Hidden Hills, California, leaving their fence severely damaged.

Although toxicology results are yet to come in, it is thought the young driver was under the influence of alcohol.
