Eva Longoria Parker: My husband is my priority

Eva Longoria Parker says she has been "in heaven" this summer because she has spent so much time with her husband.

The actress is married to basketball star Tony Parker, and while she is mainly based in Los Angeles he plays for the San Antonio Spurs, which are located in Texas. Eva finds it difficult to be parted from Tony and was thrilled when he spent some time training in Los Angeles recently. The couple also enjoyed a romantic cruise around Europe to celebrate their third wedding anniversary in July.

Eva and Tony always put their marriage before their careers and do everything they can to see each other as much as possible.

"We do a whole schedule, we look at our calendars and prioritise our lives first and then everything else just falls into place," Eva said in an interview on UK television show Lorraine. "He has been in LA for two months training so we have been getting to fall asleep together every night, which is really nice. But when he goes back to San Antonio we will start the whole flying thing again.

"But we have been in heaven, we have had a nice summer and a great vacation. We have had a great time together. We make each other the priority. It is a lot of work but if it’s worth it, it’s worth it."

Eva also spoke about her role in Desperate Housewives and the bond she has with her co-stars. Although it has been widely reported the cast don’t get along, Eva insists the rumours are wide of the mark and she is great friends with Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Teri Hatcher.

"We were talking about this the other day, you know, we are all girlie girls. Marcia has sisters, Felicity has sisters, I have sisters, Teri has a daughter and Marcia has two girls," Eva explained.

"We are all women all the time, so we really love that sisterhood. It was hard for the press to keep going on about that."
