'Desperate Housewives' actress Felicity Huffman has signed up to star in the big screen adaptation of 'A Politician's Wife'.Unsurprisingly, Felicity - who plays Lynette Scavo in the hit US TV series - is to play the spouse of a leading politician in the film which is based on the award-wining 90s British TV series of the same name.A source told Britain's Mail On Sunday newspaper: "The sexual shenanigans, which happened at Whitehall were brilliantly depicted in the British version and filmmakers are keen to replicate this in the US. The White House is a hotbed for sexual intrigue and Felicity will be perfect as the tortured but ultimately triumphant politician's wife."The Channel 4 TV series - which starred Juliet Stevenson and Trevor Eve - focused on the story of a woman who discovers that her husband, a member of the British Parliament, is having an affair with a former prostitute.The movie version is expected to hit screens in 2008.0Comments | Be the first to comment!
