William H. Macy claims wife Felicity Huffman is the sexiest actress on 'Desperate Housewives'.

The Oscar-nominated actor doesn't understand why Felicity - who plays stressed-out mother Lynette Scavo - gets less recognition than her co-stars, Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross and Nicollette Sheridan, insisting no other woman can compete with her beauty.

He said in an interview with Parade magazine: "The others are sort of model beautiful women and Felicity is not a model type. But I think she's the sexiest on that show. What is sexy?

She's strong and lithe and capable

"It's hard to put it into words. The way she carries herself. And she keeps in really great shape. She's got the kind of body that makes me melt. She's cut. She's strong and lithe and capable. I love that."

Meanwhile, William has revealed he failed to lose his virginity as a teenager on prom night because he was too interested in driving his brother's car.

He said: "The prom was a big deal, but I didn't lose my virginity on prom night like I was supposed to have done. My prom date had told her parents that she wouldn't be home because she was going to spend the night with her girlfriend.

"Of course, there was a hotel room available to us. But all I wanted to do was drive the damn car. I thought, 'I can get laid any time, but my brother will never loan me this car again.' "
